1. Go to the City of Walla Walla's GovDelivery signup page.
2. Choose the type of subscription you'd like to sign up for — Email or SMS/Text Message.
3. Enter your email address or phone number.
4. Enter the text you see in the Captcha image.
5. Click the Submit button.
6. Enter the email address or phone number you previously entered.
7. If you want to use a password with your account, enter and confirm it in the Optional Password section.
8. Enter the text you see in the Captcha image.
9. Check the box in the Privacy section to consent to the data privacy policy.
10. Click the Submit button.
11. Select the topics you'd like to subscribe to by checking the boxes next to them.
12. Click the Submit button.
13. Now you can answer a few optional questions. The information you enter will not be shared with anyone. If you choose to provide answers to any of the questions, City staff will only use it to customize the content you receive. 
14. Click the Submit button.

Success! You are now subscribed to receive messages in the topic(s) you selected. You can review your subscriptions and contact information by clicking the "Subscriber Preferences" link. In the future, if you want to change the topics you're subscribed to, or unsubscribe altogether, you can do so by clicking the links at the end of the messages you receive.

Click the Finish button to exit the subscription system.

The SMS/text messages are sent from 833-585-2187. Adding this number as a contact in your mobile phone will help prevent the messages from being mislabeled as Junk.

Please note: These email addresses and phone number are only used to send messages, and are not set up to receive responses. If you reply to a message you receive from the City, nobody will see it. If you need to contact City staff about the GovDelivery system, please use this form.

By signing up with both subscription types — email and text message — you can select different topics for each. This could be useful if you want to receive timely updates as text messages, but less urgent types of news as emails. 

For example, you might choose to receive updates on Snow Removal and Road Closures as text messages, and Council Agendas, the monthly newsletter, or weekly Water Conservation updates by email.

To do this, you can go through the registration process again, using the subscription type you didn't previously use. For example, if you used your email address to sign up initially, you would use your cellphone number this time.

Alternately, City staff can add the other subscription type to your account for you. Please use the form below to provide your information, and staff will update your account as requested. (Note: If staff update your account, you won't be able to subscribe to different topics for each subscription type. You will receive the same updates by email that you receive via SMS/text message.)
