These are the holidays observed by the City of Walla Walla in 2026. Click on the name of a holiday to find out which City facilities are open and which are closed.

 

 

New Year's Day — Jan. 1, 2026

City facilities, including the Sudbury Road Landfill, will close at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025.

If your residential sanitation collection day falls on Thursday, your container will be serviced on Friday, Jan. 2.

Police, Fire, EMS, Dispatch, Water, and Wastewater services will operate as usual.
