The Engineering Division oversees the planning, design, construction, inspection, operation, and maintenance of the City's infrastructure. Engineers review development plans to ensure City standards are met.

• Participates in regional transportation planning efforts as required by the federal government.  
• Maintains and updates the City’s Standard Plans. Provides engineering support for all City operations.  
• Performs traffic counts and studies. 
• Provides program management for the Infrastructure Repair and Replacement Plan (IRRP) and Transportation Benefit District (TBD). 
• Oversees compliance efforts for the WA Department of Ecology’s Phase 2 Municipal Stormwater Permit.
