National Night Out is rescheduled β Aug. 13, 2026
2026 marks our 20th year of National Night Out (NNO) in Walla Walla.
Walla Walla's National Night Out is the largest drug prevention/crime prevention family fun celebration in our whole region. It is FREE to the public.
According to the National Association of Town Watch, National Night Out provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. Millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, and military bases worldwide on the first Tuesday in August!
National Night Out 2026 Events
National Night Out and Parade
This is the main NNO event, and will feature family-friendly fun for everyone. Meet local fire and police personnel. Dozens of local agencies, organizations, and businesses will set up tents and tables, with giveaways, games, and information about the services they offer. Free Domino's pizza and Dairy Queen Dilly Bars will be provided, and backpacks filled with school supplies will be raffled.

- Garrison Middle School Gymnasium, 906 Chase Ave.
- 5-7 p.m.
The Parade of Emergency Vehicles will begin at 5 p.m. at the Courtyard by Marriott Walla Walla (550 W. Rose St.), travel south on 9th Avenue, turn east onto Malcolm Street, then turn south onto Chase Avenue, ending at Garrison Middle School.
Come out to cheer on the parade, connect with local resources, meet first responders, and enjoy a great evening of free fun for everyone. We look forward to seeing you there!
Backpack Project
Every child attending National Night Out gets a free raffle ticket for a chance to win a backpack filled with school supplies!

Chief for a Day at the Walla Walla Sweets
This year's Chief for a Day participants will take the field in full uniform for introductions before the baseball game begins.
