K9 Pick

black dogPick is a small black lab female who was born in the Burlington, Washington area. Pick was purposely chosen small to get into small areas and under vehicles. K9 Pick's primary job is to help officers find illegal narcotics and get them out of our community. K9 Pick is the Walla Walla Police Department's fourth narcotic detection dog, succeeded by K9 Baron, K9 Beamer and K9 Rev.

K9 Pick is trained to detect:

  • Methamphetamine
  • Cocaine
  • Heroin
  • Ecstasy

K9 Farel

german shepardFarel is a Belgian Malinois, a compact and high-energy version of the commonly known Shepherd. Farel is a patrol canine, primarily used for dangerous criminal apprehension. He is a valued member on shift and an active member of the regional SWAT team.

K9 Farel's primary duties include:

  • Working Patrol within the City of Walla Walla
  • Criminal Apprehension
  • Article Searches
  • Tracking
  • Officer Protection
