Only one Landfill Courtesy pass for the year is being issued to residents with current sanitation services.
Businesses are not eligible to use the landfill courtesy pass.
Landfill staff will verify a customer's active sanitation account by checking for a "sanitation" charge on the bill that customers must present upon arrival.
Only one pass per address can be used.
Passes are only valid for use at the Sudbury Landfill. Please do not mail passes to the City’s Finance Department.
Passes are not eligible as payment on landfill billing accounts or insufficient funds transactions.
Only physical passes will be honored. Digital copies, pictures, and verbally given addresses will not be honored.
How to Use Your Courtesy Pass:
Surrender a physical copy of your January 2025 utility bill, mailed in February to the scale house attendant when visiting the Sudbury Landfill.
The first physical copy of the January 2025 utility bill, mailed in February received by landfill staff will be eligible for use, no other copies will be accepted after.
Print both pages of your utility bill in color to allow for landfill attendants to verify sanitation charges and ensure the accuracy of the bill.
Your courtesy pass can be used for one free load of residential waste or green waste (up to 600 lbs. of material including tax).
