APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2024 COHORT ARE NOW CLOSED.
Local government touches so many facets of our everyday lives - from the streets we drive on to the parks we play in. We know that the city makes sure clean water arrives at our tap every day and that the police will be there in an emergency, but exactly how does your city operate, and how can residents contribute more to its success?
The City of Walla Walla is kicking off its inaugural Civics Academy to Walla Walla residents that will begin October 2. The academy will provide an overview of city government operations, including insight into how the city makes decisions, budgets, and operates its departments. A primary goal of the academy is to empower and encourage current city residents to become more civically engaged and learn how your local government works.
