Isaacs Avenue construction week-ahead update for Nov. 6
We're nearly at the end, folks! Final paving from Division Street through the Roosevelt Street intersection, including the approaches to the cross streets, took place this week. Once the asphalt cures, temporary striping will be applied. This section is on pace to fully reopen by Friday, Nov. 15, weather permitting.
Temporary striping will also transition from the existing four-lane roadway east of Roosevelt to the new three-lane configuration west of the intersection. Motorists should use caution while navigating this temporary revision.
The sidewalks and driveways between Division and White Street are nearly complete, and landscape restoration will be finished this week. Crews will install stairs on private property this week and next, and work on the stormwater swale at Roosevelt also will continue through next week. Prep work for the sidewalks at the Roosevelt and Tausick intersections is ongoing, and installation should be complete by the end of next week.
Vehicle access to this section of Isaacs via cross streets is not available at the moment due to the fresh asphalt, but alleyways and parking lots off the cross streets do permit access. Please continue to support the local businesses affected by this work. 🚧
